Founded in 2008 by Austin Rugby Club veterans The Texas Rugby Association of Austin (TRAA) 501(c)(3) nonprofit program serves to provide facilities, coaching, mentoring, and financial support for developing youth rugby in the Austin area.

MISSION – CITIZENSHIP, VALUES, TEAMWORK
The TRAA promotes citizenship and teaches the transferable values of commitment, honesty, sportsmanship, trust, teamwork, selflessness, discipline, diversity, competition and fitness through exposure and participation in club rugby.
PARTICIPANTS
The TRAA works with several youth rugby programs in and around Austin Texas. These programs include Austin Area High School, Stony Point High School, St. Michael's Academy, and Westlake High School. We have also been involved with and support the Texas Youth Rugby Association Championships, the USA Men's & Women's Round of 16 National Championships, and a youth camp for kids ages 7-14 to introduce boys and girls to the game of rugby.
